Andréa de Rocquigny

Andréa is a highly regarded lawyer with over 13 years of experience practising exclusively in immigration law, and is one of the very few Quebec-called immigration lawyers based in Western Canada. Andréa is also licensed to practice US immigration law. She is fluent in English and French and is proud to serve clients in both of Canada’s official languages.

As a senior practitioner, Andréa has extensive experience with all types of immigration applications, from temporary visitor visa and work permit applications to permanent residence and citizenship applications. She also has experience designing and developing mobility policies and programs, as well as risk management as it relates to cross-border travel.

Andréa has earned a reputation as a skilled immigration lawyer. She is frequently retained by individuals, corporate clients, and other immigration practitioners to assist with particularly challenging and complex matters, such as those involving allegations of misrepresentation, medical and criminal inadmissibility, and corporate non-compliance.

As a leader in the field of immigration law, Andréa has contributed to academic and industry publications and is often invited to present at conferences. To date, those include being a panellist at an Immigration Symposium hosted by the Canadian Employee Relocation Council, a presenter at a breakfast seminar hosted by the MI Group, and an instructor at an advanced workshop at the International Workers Forum West.

Andréa has also successfully appeared before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada.

Andréa is a member of the Barreau du Québec, the Law Society of British Columbia and is licensed in the state of Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), the Québec Immigration Lawyers Association (AQAADI), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
